Nobody can spin a yarn quite like Grannie can, which is why her granddaughter Cordelia has brought her friend Pauline over to hear some of Grannie s stories. As the three sit on Grannie s porch on a summer afternoon in 1880, the stories come to life thanks to Grannie s narration. The problem is that Grannie never quite finishes one story before starting on the next!

Still, the girls eagerly take in all the stories the traveling salesman who promises to marry the widow then doesn t show up at his own wedding, the town sheriff who s living a secret life across the state line, and the competing bank robbers who show up at the same time to rob the same bank. They even hear about the ghost who haunted and befriended Grannie as a young girl! Even though they never know how any of the stories end, one thing is for sure Grannie is quite a character herself!

Your audience will love all the action and humor of these very short stories, and your cast will enjoy playing these distinctive character vignettes!
